Allahabad is one of the largest cities of the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh in India. It is built on a very ancient site of the Aryans formerly known as Prayag. Allahabad is the seventh most-populous city in the state and thirty-sixth most-populous city in India. It is world 130th fastest-growing city. Prayag is the original name of Allahabad. It is the second-oldest city in India. It is situated on an inland peninsula, surrounded by the rivers Ganges and Yamuna on three sides, Allahabad was originally called Kaushambi by the Kuru rulers of Hastinapur. It is located in southern Uttar Pradesh. Allahabad is known as the "Prime Minister Capital of India". The Allahabad city is one of four sites of the Kumbh Mela, an important mass Hindu pilgrimage. Several ancient Indian holy texts like Vedas, Puranas, Ramayana, and Mahabharata have mentioned about Allahabad.

Anand Bhavan: It is a large bungalow in Allahabad. It was built by constructed by Indian political leader Motilal Nehru in the 1930s.

 

New Yamuna Bridge: It is the longest cable-stayed bridge of India, which is located in Allahabad.

 

Allahabad Museum: It is known for its rich collection and unique objects of art, and is funded by Ministry of Culture.

 

Khusro Bagh: It is a large walled Mughal garden surrounding the mausoleums of Khusrau Mirza (eldest son of Emperor Jahangir, Shah Begum)

 

Alfred Park:  It is a public park and it is renamed after freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad, who sacrificed his life here, during the Indian independence struggle in 1931.
