Alwar City

Alwar is a city and administrative headquarters of Alwar district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located around 160 km south of Delhi and about 150 km north of Jaipur , The capital of Rajasthan . Alwar is a part of National Capital Region. Alwar is also known famous for its Olive plantation in tinkirudi. It was formerly spelt as ‘‘Ulwar” in British India. This placed it in last position in alphabetically ordered lists, so a king changed to spelling to “Alwar” to bring it to the top. Alwar is also known by the name “Matsya Nagar”. Alwar contains many interesting and historical monuments. The city has a beautiful lake and a picturesque valley. The Sariska Tiger Reserve is located in the Aravali hills only a few km away from Alwar. The sanctuary, which is a Project tiger reserve, also boasts of many other species, including rare birds and plants

By Road  :- Alwar is well connected to Delhi and Jaipur by state owned and public buses services. A super deluxe bus from Delhi will get you to Alwar in about 5 hours, depending on the route its talking.  Travelling by bus is much reasonable but at times it can be very tiring.

 

 

 

By Rail  :- Alwar is well connected with an efficient rail network. Superfast trains connect Alwar with Delhi, Mumbai, and other nearby cities of India.

 

 

 

By Air :- The city of Alwar does not have an airport of its own. You will have to go to the Sanganer Airport located at Jaipur, Which is about 162 km from Alwar. Indian Airlines is the flight which connects to Alwar from other cities. Jaipur airport is connected to the metro cities of Mumbai , Kolkata, Delhi.
