Asansol is the second largest cityand urban agglomeration in West Bengal after Kolkata.  Asansol is located in the Burdwan district ofIndia. Asansol is 11th ranked among Indian cities, and 42 ranked in the worldin it’s of 100 fastest growing cities. As per the recommendations of the sixthCentral Pay Commission, Asansol has been listed as a y – category citycalculation of HRA for public servants. It happens to be the only non-z-category city in West Bengal apart from the Kolkata which belongs to the X category.Asansol is located on the most culturally and ethnically diverse states in theentire country of India.
