Bomdila is the headquarters of West Kameng district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India. As of 2001 India census, Bomdila had a population of 6685. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Bomdila has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 75% and female literacy of 63%. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. How to Reach Bomdila

By Road :- The town of Bomdila is well connected with Tezpur. Rangapara or Guwahati. Depending upon the weather and the road conditions the drive from Tezpur will take about 6 hours. Since the roads are narrow with lots of twists and bends, it is advisable to hire an experienced driver to take you to Bomdila.

By Rail :- The nearest railway station is at Rangapara (Assam), which is located at a distance of about 146 kms from Bomdila. There are daily buses also from Rangapara Railway Station to Bomdila.
